Anticipatory Governance, Queer Difference, and the Emirati Post-Oil Generation

Dr Al-Qasimi will be presenting her research on the complex dissemination and policing of queer internet presences in the UAE. Her research project, focused on queerness, governmentality and the post-oil generation in the UAE, is emblematic of the kind of cutting-edge scholarship that is now emerging at the intersections of area studies and queer theory.
